2K Games recently announced the release date and cover athletes of NBA 2K23. Through this information, players also have some understanding of the game. Among them, players are most concerned about the problem that NBA 2K23 is still an old version on PC.
Many recently hoped that NBA 2K23 on PC could also have the next-gen update. Despite these requirements, it appears that the PC version of 2K23 will not receive next-gen updates.
Is NBA 2K23 on PC a previous version?
On the 2K Games website, we can tell that the PC version of NBA 2K23 is still an old version. Like the Switch version, it won’t get the same graphics and technical updates as the next-gen platform.
The response said: “This is something the team is passionate about and will continue to investigate what is possible for the franchise in the future. For now, the focus was on assuring NBA 2K23 was optimized for the new consoles (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S), while also making sure the experience remains fresh and innovative for players on other platforms.”
This is disappointing news for players on PC. Because when it comes to improving and tweaking game visuals, the console is still a priority.
This will disappoint fans of the PC version of the NBA 2K series as creators continue to put the console experience first.
When will 2K23 be released?
NBA 2K23 will be officially released on September 9. Now that we can pre-order the game, we can also get some bonuses.
There are multiple versions of this game for players to choose from, and the pre-order bonus for each version is different. Pre-order bonuses for each edition will include a substantial amount of NBA 2K23 MyTeam Points. Apart from these basic bonuses, I think the best is the Champion Edition. This release will give us a 12-month League Pass subscription.
While we won’t be able to see the latest version of NBA 2K23 on PC, let’s not be disappointed either. NBA 2K23 will bring us many new gaming experiences.
