In India, students who wish to pursue engineering in IITs, NITs and other prestigious institutions must clear the JEE Main exam. This is a highly competitive exam since a large number of students appear for this exam. In 2023, the JEE Main will be conducted in two sessions. It is expected to be held in April and May.
The official notification is not yet released by the National Testing Authority. The top 2.5 Lakh of the JEE Main are eligible for the JEE Advanced exam. The National Testing Authority has not yet announced the exam date. It is expected to be conducted by the third week of June 2023. The results are expected by the first week of July 2023. Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria include the guidelines that JEE aspirants should follow before applying for the exam. Students are advised to thoroughly check the eligibility criteria given by NTA. This helps students to get more insight about the exam and details like age limit, number of attempts, nationality, etc.
Registration Process
After the JEE Mains results are out, the official authority will release the application form on the official website. Candidates must register, pay the application fees, and submit the application form. The application fee for the general category candidates is INR 2800. Female candidates must pay INR 1400, and the reserved category candidates must pay INR 1400. Foreign national students can also apply for the exam. The application fee is different for them.

Students must have a deep knowledge of the NCERT books for the JEE exam. The recommended books for Maths include Higher Algebra by Hall and Knight, Differential Calculus by A Das Gupta, Trigonometry by S.L Loney, etc. Inorganic Chemistry by JD Lee, Numerical Chemistry by P. Bahadur, Physical Chemistry by Wiley, and Organic Chemistry by Morrison and Boyd are some of the Chemistry books. The recommended books for Physics include JEE Physics by DC Pandey, Problems in Physics by S.S Krotov, HC Verma Part I and II, and Physics by Resnick and Halliday.
JEE Advanced Syllabus
Students who are preparing for any entrance exam should be aware of the syllabus of the exam. The JEE Advanced 2023 syllabus can be downloaded from the official website of the exam conducting authority. The revised syllabus is available on the official website. Since the syllabus is vast, JEE aspirants are recommended to start preparing as early as possible. Before starting the preparation, students should have a look at the syllabus and have a thorough understanding of the included concepts. It helps students find more time to prepare topics that need more practice. Students can crack this exam with proper planning and hard work.
