If you have a urine disorder, it can be tempting to just ignore the problem and hope it goes away on its own. But that is no way to treat any medical condition, let alone one as serious as this. Urine disorders can lead to infections. They can spread to other areas of your body and cause even more problems than the original condition. If you want to learn how to treat urine disorders, there are a few things you need to know about treating them.

Types of Urine disorders

Urinary disorders are rare, but they do occur. These disorders can have serious health consequences if not treated properly.

There are several different types of urine disorders ranging from mild symptoms that can be resolved with over-the-counter remedies all the way up to life-threatening infections that require immediate medical attention. Most common types of Urine disorders include:

  • Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
  • Kidney and Ureteral Stones
  • Urinary Incontinence

What is your problem?

There are many possible causes of different types of urine disorders. Some can be caused by simple lifestyle changes. While others may need medical treatment.

If you have a problem with urination, there are some first steps you should take before seeing a doctor or visiting a specialist. Understanding what your problem is will help to determine what treatment options will work best for you.

The most common type of urine disorder is urinary incontinence. It occurs when you leak small amounts of urine during physical activity or at night as you sleep. Urination problems can also result in frequent trips to the bathroom, cloudy urine, an unusual odor from your pee and blood in your urine.

In order to treat these issues effectively, it is important that you know what’s causing them so that you can find an appropriate solution.

The causes

Blood in urine, Urinary tract infection. Blood in the urine can be a symptom of UTI (urinary tract infection). This is usually caused by E-coli or another bacterium that causes an infection.

The urethra is a part of your urinary tract, where urine passes from your bladder. A urinary tract infection (UTI) happens when bacteria are introduced into it by way of:

  • Sexual intercourse
  • Use of dirty toilets/bathrooms
  • Coming into contact with contaminated water during swimming or bathing

If left untreated, a UTI can lead to kidney infections and other complications. People who experience recurrent UTIs should take precautions to prevent them from recurring so as not to let them progress into something worse.

Remember: In some cases, UTIs can trigger by Constipation. If you have constipation, try to manage it with dulcoflex tablet.

The diagnosis

When you go to your doctor because you think you have a urine disorder, they may use several different methods of diagnosis.

The doctor may ask you questions about how often you urinate. They also ask how much urine is produced and how quickly it takes for your bladder to fill up. As well as other symptoms you may be experiencing. They will also take a blood sample, which can tell them if there are any infections or imbalances in your body.

Your doctor might also perform an exam of your urinary tract by inserting a thin tube with a camera into your urethra and bladder (cystoscopy). This procedure can help find problems that might not show up on other tests such as kidney stones.

How to treat Urine disorders

Before you worry about causes, it is worth starting with your treatment options. Once you know what to treat and how to treat it, it’s easier to figure out where it might be coming from.

You should consult a doctor first (obviously), but in some cases, home remedies may be all that is needed. Some urinary disorders can actually be treated at home by drinking plenty of water, staying hydrated and getting plenty of rest.

If your symptoms don’t get better after three days, or if they worsen in nature, contact a doctor for further evaluation.

Medications to treat urine disorders

You have a number of different medications available to treat urine disorders. They range from over-the-counter pills that you can buy at any pharmacy or online retailer or prescription drugs.

For example, a common over-the-counter treatment for incontinence is Aristozyme Syrup (Read: Amazing Aristozyme Syrup uses). It works by suppressing cholinergic receptors in smooth muscle tissue. It is effective for people who experience minor incontinence due to bladder weakness.

Prevention tips

Those with a history of urine disorders should speak with their physician about steps they can take to minimize their risk of a relapse. These may include:

  • Limiting fluid intake prior to bedtime
  • Drinking plenty of water throughout each day
  • Eating a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables
  • Cutting back on caffeine
  • Maintaining a healthy weight (Also Read: The Importance of Weight Loss Diet Plans)
  • Staying hydrated (as we’ve noted)
  • Wearing loose-fitting clothes made from breathable fabrics

Complications of infection

Infection, either by a bacterium or parasite, can cause many complications including kidney failure or urinary tract cancer.

If you suspect an infection, see your doctor immediately as antibiotics are essential for proper treatment. The earlier you seek treatment for a urine disorder, whether it is an infection or a non-infectious condition like benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), the better off you will be. One of these serious infections could even become life-threatening if left untreated.

Complications due to surgery

The most common symptom of a urinary tract infection is pain or burning during urination. In most cases, these symptoms go away within 24-48 hours of treatment.

A more serious complication that can arise after surgery is a blockage in your catheter. This happens when urine builds up in your bladder and then hardens because it is not flowing out when you urinate.

If left untreated, a blockage can make it difficult for you to urinate and may even require surgery again.
