​Include dates for everything or risk being assigned a generic date or being disqualified for lacking work experience. Each section of your resume is calculated and approximated by robots. In order to be ATS friendly and show the correct date range within your professional experience, a job description may require 5 years of coding experience. Unfortunately, some job seekers who feel “too old” for a particular role they’re qualified for have developed the bad habit of omitting dates. Ageism continues to be an issue in the job market, but obscuring or removing dates from a resume is a losing strategy.
