Do you seem to die a lot? These Fortnite strategies will help you lay the groundwork to almost certainly become the next Tfue.
Battle Royale games aren’t going away anytime soon. That is, until, of course, one of the major publishers kills the concept. Over the last year or two, there have been a slew of new games and spin-offs in the “new” subgenre, but PUBG is widely regarded as the king; the one that broke through initially. But there’s one serious competitor for the title: Fortnite Battle Royale, a standalone mode that was added to the base game and has already surpassed the PVE component in terms of popularity.

If you’re thinking of playing Fortnite Battle Royale like millions of others, you might be a little confused at first. It’s one thing to pick up the gunplay, but how do you create a base? Should you stay in one place or move around a lot? Fortunately, we have some Fortnite strategies to assist you.
However, it’s vital to recognize right away that they aren’t all-inclusive advice. Check out what other people have to say about the game, as well as some of Fortnite’s most prominent streamers to see what they do and the minor eccentricities they pull off to great success. It’s also worth noting that I’m not even close to being a professional player, with only a few wins and a K/D that varies dramatically.
As a result, here are some of my Fortnite tips. Do you have any of your own? Let us know what you think in the comments.
10 Easy Fortnite Tips For Beginners
1. Use your ears
This is by far the most basic but crucial Fortnite tip I can offer. Sound is an important component of Fortnite since it allows you to track player movement and firing direction, which may lead to a lot of delectable scraps when you pick off the weaker victor. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been across ignorant people who were simply not paying attention. Put on your headphones and go on a hunt.
2. Material shields
This is especially important if you’re stuck in a field with minimal cover. What is the solution? Make a cover for yourself. Throw up a rapid wall, perhaps with a ramp, the second you hear a gunshot flying by you or reaching its target. It will save your life as well as giving you a better chance of spotting the attacker. But don’t just sit in the box: take shots or build higher when you know an opponent is coming at you.
3. Raise your shield
I’m not a fan of how shields are implemented in Fortnite, but they’re such an important aspect of the game that if you don’t discover any early on, you’ll be back in the lobby before you’ve even had a chance to settle in. If you come across a mini-shield potion, sink it as quickly as possible. However, if you have a full-sized shield, you may want to wait till you discover some minis because you won’t be able to use minis if your shields are more than halfway full. It may be better to save little shield potions for the later, frenetic phases throughout the game rather than fifties, though your playstyle will eventually determine this.
4. Keep track of your inventory
If cleanliness is the next best thing to godliness, not organizing your inventory into distinct regions is the next best thing. Or something along those lines. Basically, I put all of my weapons in the first few slots and leave any health supplies and other stuff on the “right” side. This way, if I’m in the middle of a shootout and need to switch guns, I’ll know what to do instead of unintentionally removing my bandages and trying to nurse my opponent to death.
5. Choose your conflicts carefully
When you see a guy a hundred meters away with only a stock assault weapon, what do you do? Allow him to handle things; you never know how well-equipped he is or how vulnerable you will become if you don’t. If you have the opportunity, follow them for a bit and get up up and personal with them, or simply leave them for another day.
6. Find your rotation
You’ll probably drop somewhere entirely blind and hope for the best when you first start playing Fortnite. After a while, you’ll have a solid sense of the area, at which point you should start looking for “routes” and drop places where you can easily pick up treasure and supplies. I have a strategy where I drop on top of the disco around where Flush Factory used to be and vacuum up all of the mats and chests. It’s low-conflict and uncomplicated, yet there are still plenty of kills to be had.
7. Set up a farm
You’ll have to start farming for resources if you want to succeed in Fortnite (and not just lurk in the bushes). If you can, try to get 500+ pounds of stone and wood, with at least a couple hundred pounds of wood on hand for emergencies or building rapid ramps. Metal is the least plentiful and the most tedious to farm, so I usually fill up on wood by hitting trees as I walk. Metal will be required for the last stages, especially if you plan to build a tower, but keep in mind that it is quite brittle when first installed.
8. Hit the blue spot
This took me significantly longer than I had anticipated. Do you notice the blue circle that appears when you hit something? To break things down faster with critical hits, you must hit that: normal hits do 50 damage, while critical hits deal 100.
9. Practice your shotty hops
I’ll confess that I’m terrible at this, but whether you like it or not, jumping while in close range of an opponent while firing shotgun shells is a foundation of gameplay. There’s a method to it, and there’s a rhythm to it, but the main concept is to avoid zooming in while firing because it can make you lose track of your target; “free” aiming is the best way to keep up with a continuously moving enemy. Hit your pump shot, then switch to an SMG, Deagle, or AK for the follow-up in the current meta.
10. Be wary of the storm once you’re out of it
A common blunder of mine is to stop dead in my tracks after running through the storm and into safety. What is the issue? I’m sure I’m not the only one who has just gotten away with it. While it’s tempting to heal as soon as you’re safe, attempt to get to some cover first. Being prepared and well-healed is also an excellent approach to catch any stragglers off guard. VBucks Generator is a working tool for Fortnite players. It is easy to use and does not need any kind of installation.
