Shrine of Remembrance
Melbourne established the Shrine of Remembrance in 1924 to memorialize the 19,000 Victorians slain in World War I. The bronze Gallipoli Memorial, The Forecourt (a World War II memorial that holds the Eternal Flame), and the Remembrance Garden are among the memorials on the monument, which was influenced by iconic Greek sights like the Parthenon and the Acropolis (where fallen soldiers from post-World War II conflicts are honored). Inside the shrine, there are several military-themed exhibitions.
Despite the depressing nature of the event, you will get a better knowledge and respect for Australia’s involvement in major conflicts.

Because the flights are decided by each day’s weather, where you start, travel, and land in your balloon is always a mystery – meaning you can get a bird’s eye perspective of some of your favorite Melbourne sites or discover some new ones.
